Formed in 2001, Resonance is NUS’ pioneer and premier collegiate a cappella group. Made up of people bound by a common love for singing, members come from diverse musical backgrounds and sing just about anything — from contemporary pop to choral, alternative rock to swing, and even the occasional techno tune. Resonance continually strives towards promoting a greater awareness of a cappella music in and outside of campus. Furthermore, members are continually engaged through various interest groups such as vocal percussion and a cappella arrangement in addition to taking on various performance opportunities both within and outside of school. At the heart of it all, however, Resonance is a family of singers truly passionate about singing and performing. The annual concert series is an avenue for members to express gratitude to the people who have been with them throughout their musical journey. These concerts also help members hone their singing and performing skills, ensuring that they continue to grow as musicians.
